Locally Grown Self-Care Tour - Occidental, Sebastopol

Join us for a day of self-care awareness exploring the sustainable hedonism of nurturing yourself. The morning is one of reflection and rejuvenation at Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary. We'll caravan to Sebastopol's French Garden's garden; 30 acres diversely planted with luscious vegetables, delicate herbs and over 70 fruit trees. Learn about bio-intensive farming techniques, water-savvy drip irrigation and dry farming.

The Backyard Feather Revolution Tour - Petaluma, Penngrove, Sebastopol

Trathen Heckman, Executive Director of Daily Acts will share slides and stories of greywater reuse, water storage, bioswales and the innovative art of rainwater harvesting.

Meandering through the residential home and garden of Trathen Heckman, Executive Director of Daily Acts, we'll explore domestic water use inside and out and a host of easy techniques for minimizing waste of this precious resource. Outside we'll learn small-scale techniques for harvesting and storing rainwater for reuse, building healthy soil, practical greywater possibilities and design principles to move you towards a more sustainable landscape.
